Thailand
Jul 21st
This a set of images I took on my trip to Thailand. I went to Pattaya, Phuket and Bangkok. Out of these three, Phuket was the best.
Bangkok is a huge place. Since I only had 1 day and 1 night there, I really didn’t get to see much there. All that I was able to see were 2 malls where time flew cause they were so huge.
Pattaya was more eventful. I saw the very famous Alcazar Show and also the very infamous Coco show. Apart from that it is a good place to go do some adventure water sports and More >
Ganpatipule
Jul 20th
Ganapatipule is a beach destination near Mumbai. It is about 7 hours drive from the city and a favourite for religious people as it is one of the 8 places where one of Lord Ganesha’s forms is embodied in a temple. This is a set of pictures that I had taken during my trip there.
The beach at Ganpatipule is clean and there are stretches that are truly awesome
This is a view of the MTDC resort at Ganpatipule. Nice place to stay but crappy food.

Kerela Trip to Kovalam
Jul 20th
Kerela is where we went for our honeymoon. As is the case with many men (I hope) I didn’t book the trip until the last moment. But all was forgiven when we got to Kovalam, our destination, because my wife just loves the ocean. We stayed at the Uday Samudra Resort. This is a resort smack dab in the middle of the Taj Kovalam and the Leela Kovalam with its own small beach front. These are a couple of shots of the resort.
Near the hotel, there are backwaters that one can go to enjoy a relaxed boat ride through the More >

My Ubuntu Experience
Jul 13th
How did I start using Ubuntu?
I had just bought a new laptop in February 08. I had also paid Rs. 4500 for Windows Vista Home Basic. I was not happy. After trying in vain to optimize the Vista installation for a whole month I was ready to go back to XP and put up my Genuine Vista DVD up for sale on eBay India. I was pretty sure that it wouldn’t sell. I dont know what the actual thought was that prompted me to go to google and search for linux distros for my laptop. The general idea on the More >
