Kerela is where we went for our honeymoon. As is the case with many men (I hope) I didn’t book the trip until the last moment. But all was forgiven when we got to Kovalam, our destination, because my wife just loves the ocean. We stayed at the Uday Samudra Resort. This is a resort smack dab in the middle of the Taj Kovalam and the Leela Kovalam with its own small beach front. These are a couple of shots of the resort.
Near the hotel, there are backwaters that one can go to enjoy a relaxed boat ride through the still waters of the back bay.
Also if you get bored of the of the Resort’s beach you can go to the famous Lighthouse Beach which is really nice and has clear blue water and almost white sand.
