The Municipal Corporation of Mumbai (BMC) has gotten together its plans to start a Wax Museum in the city of Mumbai at the Birla Krida Kendra in the Marine Line area of the city. This ambitious project would occupy a total area of 56000 sq. ft. and will be akin to the famous Madame Tussauds Wax Museum in London. Thats not all, the BMC also plans to construct the Mumbai Eye at Bandstand. Eat that London!
Having said that, I presume that, atleast to start with, the wax artists will be coming in from London. Damn! The Wax Museum will be on a BOT(Build-Operate-Transfer) basis and will be used to supply much needed cash to the BMC’s reserves.
I only hope that the Wax Museum does not become just another museum in India as most of them are in a sorry state since they are, in most cases, run by the State.

[...] The Eye will occupy a total area of 14000 sq.ft and will be about 650 feet high. I like it. Though it would have been better if the Eye had been placed in a more central location so that you can see the city from 650 feet up. The BMC (Municipal Corporation) has already got some of the clearances for this project along with another ambitios project, The Mumbai Wax Museum. [...]
I wonder….What will happen when there is power failure & the A/c goes of in the Wax Museum???? … it is a possibility!
Anything is possible in India. When the A/C goes off more people will come to the museum to see the statues melt.
I think these are pipe dreams that ppl dream up when they smoke up
