Here is a little humour that all Americans could use considering the amount of stress that they must be under.

If you had purchased $1000 of shares a year ago in:

1. Delta Aitlines, you would have $49 today
2. AIG, you would have $33 today
3. Lehman Brothers, you would have $0 today

But if you had purchased $1000 of beer one year ago, drank it all and turned in all the cans for recycling, you would have made $214.

Based on the above, the best investment today is to drink heavily and recycle.

A recent study found that the average American walks about 900 miles a year. Another study found that Americans drink 22 gallons of alcohol a year. So thats 41 miles to the gallon.
