Toronto by Air

I play a lot of Simcity. I have been playing Simcity since the first time that it came out. The last time that I played Simcity was about 2 months ago when I got out my old copy of Simcity 4 Rush Hour and played with all the cheats enabled. Built everything in the city that could possibly be built and of course had no possibility of making any profits what so ever. So I just got into one of the cars and drove around.

So, when we were coming in to land at the Toronto Pearsons Airport, this is the image that flashed through my mind. The city that I could see below looked so much like the ones that I was used to making in Simcity, that it was uncanny.

Even though the entire city was covered in snow and there was really no greenery, there was no doubting the resemblence to the successful cities that thrive in Simcity (especially 3). If you remember, in Simcity 3 you could choose your weather and turn the landscape into a snow covered one.

Then we passed over one of the smaller airports of the city, and what do I see, its essentially a single runway airport that looks like the airports from simcity when you zone a little more than optimal for the airport. Somethings of course I didn’t have in Simcity. Like the lopsided freeway intersection. I was able to catch various clear shots during our descent. Below are some of them.
