The i10 is a nice car. Though technically not very different from the Santro it is still worlds apart. This car features a 1086cc inline 4 cylinder 16 valve engine, 66.7PS@5500 rpm of maximum power and a peak torque of 10.1Kgm@2800 rpm, 5 speed gearbox with the gear shift mounted on the front console instead of between the seats. In terms of design the car has a very European front with the clam shell type bonet, nice big headlamps and a sleek chrome treatment. The rear is very clean but nothing to write home about.
Inside, the car has lots of space in the cabin. Easily one of the largest passenger compartments in its class. The boot is… well… small. Its a small car you know. The interiors are really well done. The seats are confortable, the head and leg room is really nice for tall people, the tilt steering adds to the comfort. Getting in and out of the car is also effortless.
I personally think that its a better looking car than the Swift, definitely more spacious and better executed. As far as the drive is concerned, I would have really preferred fatter tyres. The current tyres feel a bit unsure while turning at higher speeds.
All in all, hyundai has not shirked on the features and trim of this car.
