Deep in the jungles in the outskirts of Bangalore resides one of the fiercest of animals humans have come across in recent history. Someday I will have an article to start off in this way, but for now we only need to go about one and a half hours out of Bangalore on the Bannerghatta road to the insides of the Bidadi Industrial Estate to see one of the most impressive, nay, INNOVATIVE amusement parks that I have seen in India thus far.
Welcome to the aptly named Innovative Film City (IFC) run by Innovative Studios of Bangalore. I think that it was a matter of coincidence that the name the company already had was so apt for their amusement park business venture. IFC does not disappoint people who are able to witness, for the first time in India, well known international attractions like The Ripley’s Museum and Louis Taussad’s wax works, and for those who have seen these in the past, the places and scenes are familiar and captivating.
So heres a photo-tour of the place taking you through the whole of IFC.

The grandish entrance to the Innovative Film City. The architecture and the statues are very Greek.

The main walking plaza or main street. Soon to be lined with shopping options.

You can indulge in a bit of pottery if you wish.

The fountain at the center of main street.

The whole length of main street from near the end of the street inside.

A fake airplane sticking out of the building. Kids could also ride a miniature fire engine and ring its bell

The fire station from where the miniature fire engine departs for a very small round of the square

I could clearly make out that no one really knew whose statue this was. Behind it is the paintball shooting arena. Oh yeah, the statue is one of the Fetts from Star Wars.

This is the outside of the Fossil Museum. I didn’t go in there. Looks pretty inpressive though.

A small roller coaster was under construction. Probably going to be the star attraction here

The van covered in pennies outside The Ripley’s Museum.

And here it is folks, The Ripley’s Museum!

This guy goes up and down the rope all day long. It is a machine of course.

The entrance to the Haunted Mansion. The artwork and the modeling was very impressive. The best I have seen in India.

Graves in the garden. People were actually not sitting on them as if they were the real deal.

The headless rider. The detail on the horse was very very good.

A hand-held longish exposure of the inside on the mansion.

The mansion from the outside. The time spent inside was quite short but entertaining. Although my wife and friends felt it was too dark.

Mr. Ripley’s hologram. The recording was timed so well with the effects that it was very nice. The hologram actually puts on the lamp and spins the globe on the desk.

A real shrunken head. Just like the one I saw in Pattaya. In fact I think its the same one

This piece was supposedly made from camel bone. The detailing, as you can see, is really cool and this is just one part of the carving.

The Iron Maiden torture device. This section had other torture methods dipicted too.

Speaks for itself.

This is inside Louis Tussaud’s wax museum. The wax sculptures were quite sad and looked very fake.

Shakespear. My wife insists that it looks nothing like him

The Pope. I dont know which one as I don’t read the placards.

Tom Hanks ladies and gentlemen. All that is missing in the candle’s wick.

Marilyn Monroe

Elvis, Madonna and Michael Jackson. All of them were pretty badly done.

Angelina jolie looked really wierd too.

Arnold had a huge head and an almost midget like body.

Walt Disney

This was a better mould of her face.

The funplex was where the electronic games and such were housed along with the 4D theatre.

This was a popular ride that spun you in all 3 axes and almost made you puke.

The Go Karting track which had the normal Go Karts and also Karts for family joy rides. Wierdly, they were both on the track at the same time.

Number 01 was leading.

Miniature city took lots of pains to dipict city and country scenes in miniature. It did well at times and failed at other times.

Toy trucks on a miniature highway

This train was the best miniature with the most realistic presentation.

Going round the bend

At a station.

Going over a bridge. Thinking back on it, this was the only good miniature in the place.

A partially dilapidated cafe?

Some of the scenery
hahaha… it shows pic of gandhi ji and says Marilyn M…:)
No it doesn't… Gnadhi Ji doesn't have a caption.
