The drive from Narketpalli to the Nagarjuna Sagar Dam is an interesting one. There is little to see as such but a lot to observe. The approximately 2 hour drive from where we were staying is one that goes through one of the poorest regions of India. This area is called Tilangana. The Nagarjuna Sagar Dam is situated in Andhra Pradesh over the Krishna river. In spite of the poverty ridden region of the State, the Sagar, as it is referred to by the locals, is a testament to modern India.

Review: Piano Bar
Went to this new place in Mumbai called Piano Bar. If I had to sum it up in one sentence I would say that “the place is so small that a single sumo wrestler would fill it up”.
Of course I am exagerating, but not the fact that the place is small. It is just one rectangular room of about 40 ft by 20 ft and some area for the loo. The DJ was playing really old style dance music that failed to inspire even the most inebriated patrons. The drinks were, however, cheaper than the usual discotheque. A pint of beer cost me Rs. 100 whereas most other places its about 180 to 250 for the same. The harder drinks were more at par with industry standards, so about Rs. 400 for a large peg.
Kabini River Lodge
I had the opportunity to visit a really nice place about 5 hours drive from Bangalore. The Kabini River Lodge is towards the southern tip of the Nagerhole National Park. It is also on the banks of the river Kabini (Hence the name), which is a tributory to the larger river Kaveri (Cauveri). This makes for a great place to visit for some much needed relaxation and photography.
Review: Moche’s
If you are the kind of person who would go the extra distance to try a new place to eat and drink, then you would be like me. I drove 25 kilometres from Andheri to Cuffe Parade to eat and drink at Moshe’s. This was a place steeped in mystery for me. I worked in that area for over 4 years and used to frequently pass this place hidden behind shrubs and concealed in shadow always wondering what lay behind that cover and what people went in their to do.
Thailand
This a set of images I took on my trip to Thailand. I went to Pattaya, Phuket and Bangkok. Out of these three, Phuket was the best.
Bangkok is a huge place. Since I only had 1 day and 1 night there, I really didn’t get to see much there. All that I was able to see were 2 malls where time flew cause they were so huge.
Ganpatipule
Ganapatipule is a beach destination near Mumbai. It is about 7 hours drive from the city and a favourite for religious people as it is one of the 8 places where one of Lord Ganesha’s forms is embodied in a temple.

Kolkata Shines at Night
This is a collection of pictures that I took during my trip to Kolkata. Mostly night shots as it was too bloody hot in the day to roam around with a camera.

Kerela Trip to Kovalam
Kerela is where we went for our honeymoon. As is the case with many men (I hope) I didn’t book the trip until the last moment. But all was forgiven when we got to Kovalam, our destination, because my wife just loves the ocean. We stayed at the Uday Samudra Resort. This is a resort smack dab in the middle of the Taj Kovalam and the Leela Kovalam with its own small beach front.
